6 Tips in Medical Aesthetics Worth Knowing About

Medical

If you’re in the medical aesthetics industry, then you know how important it is to stay on top of trends.

In the past couple of years, we’ve seen a surge in demand for medical aesthetic treatments driven by well-marketed innovations. In 20 years from now, what would these improvements look like?

Trends are what keep your business fresh and exciting. They also help you attract new clients and grow your revenue. In this article, we will discuss 5 of the most popular medical aesthetic trends of 2021.

Read on to learn more about these five topics so that you can get ahead of the curve! You won’t want to miss out on any of these opportunities for growth!

Laser Tattoo Removal

The use of lasers to remove tattoos has been around for several decades, but scientists have recently developed new lasers capable of removing tattoos more effectively than ever – with few treatments and less discomfort than before!

These new generations of lasers can pierce deep into the skin to break up tattoo pigments without harming surrounding tissue as much as older lasers did. This leaves the skin looking less red and feeling less tender.

There are many benefits to laser tattoo removal. However, you should know that there is no completely safe method of removing tattoos. You can lighten or reduce your tattoo, but it may not be completely gone or done without scarring.

Scar Treatment

The appearance of scars can be improved by using lasers to reduce their appearance, without causing any damage to the skin’s surface. Scars are an essential part of our life’s story. They allow us to write new chapters in our lives every day!

Their visibility is inevitable but fortunately removable through non-invasive cosmetic treatments like Fraxel laser. This technology uses fractional resurfacing to increase collagen production that makes scars feel softer, look smoother, and face over time into barely visible lines or bumps on the skin.

Virtual Reality Cosmetic Procedures

Imagine that you’re undergoing medical procedures (e.g., laser resurfacing) but it’s painless, risk-free, and you barely feel any discomfort during your treatment – this could become reality soon! With the use of virtual reality technology, patients will be able to see what their desired look will look like before they go through with it.

Many different virtual reality headsets do not have FDA approval, but there are a few that do. In just a few years, the technology will be advanced enough for doctors to offer their patients the option of having cosmetic surgery done in virtual reality.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments

Platelet-rich plasma procedures are on the rise because they address many conditions, including acne scars, hair loss, and even facial rejuvenation! This breakthrough treatment is based on the concept of using one’s own blood to restore damaged tissue. It may sound strange but it works wonders!

PRP is a minimally invasive treatment that uses your own blood to help rejuvenate the skin. The injection of plasma into the skin stimulates collagen growth, restores hydration balance, promotes healthier-looking skin, and calms inflammation.

It has been used in conjunction with other medical aesthetic treatments such as chemical peels, micro-needling, and red light therapy.

Dermal Contouring for Enhancement Purposes

Dermal contouring is a procedure where tissue is added, moved, or removed via surgical means for the purpose of improving Medical aesthetics. This can be accomplished through soft-tissue augmenting (e.g., adding to the lips) and/or subtracting from unwanted areas (e.g., liposuction).

Dermal Contouring procedures are not done for the purpose of changing body compositions such as liposuction, but rather to add or disrupt tissue in a location in order to improve appearance.

Enhancement-type procedures are usually performed on areas that will be exposed e.g., face and neck (for most individuals) or breasts (for women).

While many individuals may have self-esteem issues related to their perceived appearance, there are those who suffer from genuine body image disturbances. This is especially true for transsexuals whose gender identity does not match the sex they were assigned at birth.

It has been estimated that more than 50% of transsexuals have had some form of surgical alteration in order to make their bodies appear more in line with the gender they feel they are.

Some transsexuals will seek facial feminization surgery. This is to achieve a more feminine appearance in order to make their transitions easier, while others will opt for genital reassignment in order to create what they feel is a more complete female form.

Skin Tissue Regeneration and Skin Tightening

The skin tissue regeneration trend is all about harnessing energy regenerative properties of stem cells, which can be used in various ways, such as repairing damaged hair follicles (for hair loss) or hydrating the skin (for dryness). It may sound like something out of “Star Wars” but it’s closer than you think!

There are now lasers that can lift and tighten sagging parts of the body such as the face. And abdomen, arms, and legs by stimulating collagen production in these areas. There is also less downtime than traditional surgery or liposuction. Be prepared to spend about $2000-5000 per treatment area though! This trend has been increasing every year since its introduction into the field of medical aesthetics (2007).
