Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra: Price and Variations
The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra comes with the $1,399 automated self-emptying and cleaning dock. The base features a self-emptying trash can and two water tanks for clean and filthy water. The dock automatically refills the bot’s onboard storage tank while draining the dirty water at the same time.
Do you really need all of those automated systems? For $1,159, this model comes with a self-emptying trashcan only. If you want to unload the trash manually, the Roborock S7 MaxV freestanding version costs $859 only.
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra: Design
The S7 MaxV Ultra has a massive base that measures 16.5 inches tall. It has three distinct detachable containers on top. One is for clean water, one is for filthy water, and one is for the garbage bag.
The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is a stylish robot with matte black skin and red details around the rims. Up top are three buttons for spot cleaning, power, and docking. Holding down the spot clean button activates kid lock mode, which prevents the bot from reacting to button pushes until it is disconnected. The system also allows you to enable and disable the kid lock.
The S7 MaxV Ultra has two cameras on the front. It employs AI object detection to identify obstructions that might hinder cleaning. It also recognizes the common enemy of all robovacs: pet waste. If you will check the bot’s underside, you will notice the brush roll and side brushes. These brushes have rubber bristles to effectively clean the surface the bot will pass through.
A microfiber cleaning pad and plastic plate fit onto the bot’s lower half, enabling the mopping features.
The water tank that supplies water to the pad is located at the back of the robot. The huge Empty Wash Fill Dock eliminates the need to constantly fill the S7 MaxV Ultra’s water tank. It will automatically fill with clean water as needed from the dock’s clean water reservoir, reducing the hassle of cleaning.
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra: Performance
Mopping is the best way to prevent germs walk all over your floors. The S7 MaxV Ultra cleans consistently, first tracing the perimeter of space and then cleaning in an S-shaped rhythm inside the line. When mopping, it adheres to the same routine and may perform both tasks at the same time.
This Robot performed admirably on the hardwood. It works slightly better than the iRobot Roomba j7+ and the Roborock S6 MaxV. When it came to pet litters, the S7 MaxV Ultra performed slightly better than other robovacs out there. Pet hair on the hardwood was one test where the S7 MaxV Ultra topped Roomba streameast.live models.
The S7 MaxV Ultra looked strong in cleaning the carpet. It did well with Cheerios and kitty litter but struggled with dog hair on our carpet. It can collect as much as 58% of the hair, which is the lowest among competing robot vacuums. Despite this setback, the S7 MaxV Ultra worked efficiently overall.
The S7 MaxV Ultra explored the area without being stranded and returned to the base with ease. It’s amazing to observe how it navigates the room because the testing area has many obstacles for it to avoid. The room has wires, light stands, toys, shoes, and other litter.
The bot’s features like the RBG camera and LiDAR worked to enable the system to roam around. The S7 MaxV Ultra never got stuck throughout our testing phase. It always cleaned the whole area, returned to its charging dock, and avoided all impediments.
Our tests revealed that the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra could clean our 1,000 sq. ft. area within an hour. With this speed, it is a little faster than many other high-end models, thanks to its navigational efficiency.
There is some preparation required before using the S7 MaxV Ultra. The robot comes partially charged, but it’s better if you completely charge it first before using streameast it.
After unpacking the bot, place it in the charging station. The S7 MaxV Ultra is ready to clean after it has been completely charged.
If you want to use the mopping feature, you need to perform an additional setup step. This is accomplished easily by its water tank and installing the VibraRise cloth pad.
Connect to the Roborock app for extra control choices or to remotely operate the bot. This is simple to do, just follow the in-app instructions. Once the app is installed, you can use it to be more in control over the robovac.
The app connectivity significantly improves the usage of the S7 MaxV Ultra. The app and the Empty Wash Fill dock will allow you to efficiently set up the bot and forget about it.
Within the app, you can also fine-tune the S7 MaxV Ultra’s many settings and functions.
Some of the things that you can do with the app include:
· Multimap management
· Custom schedules
· Zones, no-clean/no-mop, invisible walls
· Suction power control
· Mop intensity control
· Cleaning history and reports
· Battery level
· Maintenance indicators
· View through camera
· Speak through device
· Manually control the S7 MaxV
· Do not disturb mode
· Voice assistant settings
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra: Verdict
The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is a great deal. It can vacuum, mop, detect rugs, and clean itself. But all of these technologies come at a high cost – $1,399 to be exact. It’s one of the priciest robot vacuum combos around.
There’s a lot to appreciate about the S7 MaxV Ultra, from the powerful vacuuming efficiency to the simple mop that cleans itself. It’s easy to use and great for keeping floors clean in between heavy cleaning sessions. If you have a budget for, say, luxurious items, you can definitely add this bot to your list.
