Probably each of us is familiar with the situation when, after long use of the computer, it collects many programs that we either do not use at all or those that we used for a short time and now are not needed. We rarely uninstall such programs, they often accompany us as long as we use our computer. This is often because we do not know which programs and applications are really valuable to us and will be useful to us in the future.

It is also not uncommon for a brand-new computer in the first days of its work to receive a huge number of programs that in the future will just take up space, but will not benefit the computer owner. All this is also due to the lack of information on the programs that users really require, and which should not even be installed. For example, you can read the best guide about the ways to open the msg file and even install the MSG file viewer, but if you don’t use it regularly – it only takes up space. Today, we will try to shed some light on this issue, and we hope that we can help you choose really useful and necessary programs that you can install on your PC after reading this article.

  1. Choose the browser

An integral attribute of a modern laptop is an internet connection. However, to feel comfortable while surfing the internet, we need a special program or even a set of such programs. One of the most important, of course, is the browser. Most often, we are initially offered to use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge, but sooner or later most users replace them with a more functional and convenient browser. The most popular among countless browsers are Firefox Mozilla, Google Chrome, Opera, and Safari. It is difficult to select one from this list and call it the best because each of them has both advantages and disadvantages.

  1. Install the antivirus

It is not surprising that in the depths of the internet, many traps and tricks in the form of unwanted advertising and malware await us. It has probably happened to everyone when you want to install a program, and it comes with many other programs that you did not want to see on your PC. Furthermore, it is possible to protect yourself from this, and it is not difficult at all. Antivirus programs typically help us with this. There are both paid and free programs, but it is worth remembering that the effectiveness of free antiviruses is extremely low, and we strongly recommend the use of proven and effective programs, which are typically paid.

  1. Download the office programs

Sometimes we use our PC as a working tool. In many respects, this software will depend on what exactly you do in your professional activity. Therefore, it is not possible to list the countless programs that you may need in certain cases. First of all, you need to install the Microsoft Office suite, which provides the ability to comfortably type and format text, create spreadsheets, presentations, and so on. You will also need Adobe Photoshop and CorelDRAW to work with graphics. These applications allow you to create and format graphics with the necessary parameters and effects. Also, the WinRAR data archiving program, which allows you to combine several files of different formats into one compressed archive, will probably be useful.

  1. Communication apps

Most often, our communication takes place through social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and so on. For most of these services, we only require an installed browser, where we can go to the appropriate site and start communicating with the person we are interested in. However, if we regularly communicate via the internet, it is not superfluous to upload the most popular program for virtual communication – Skype. With its help, we will be able not only to correspond but also to contact our subscribers by voice call or make a video call.

Multifunctional programs that help you expand your computer use must be downloaded and installed on the gadget. Now you know what you should primarily focus on.
